Question:

I was diagnosed with WPW when I was 13 and shortly after diagnosis I had a radio ablation and was considered cured. I recently have been dealing with some anxiety and have tried exercise. I become very short of breath and my heart has been reaching the 190s which is not as severe as before. I am exhausted all the time. I have been dealing with headaches and just a feeling of being run down. Do I need to find a new cardiologist?

Yes! You need to be checked out and have an EKG & blood work, including a cardiac echo and perhaps another EP study and ablation. Your new fast arrhythmia and symptoms are suggestive of another supraventricular tachycardia, of which WPW is one manifestation.

Hope this helps,
