Question:
Your question:In what country do you live? USAGender: FemaleEthnicity: CaucasianDate of Birth: November 9, 1952Age: 59What symptoms do you have? (Please check all boxes that apply)   :- Palpitations- Fatigue- Light-headedness/dizziness- OtherWhen your heart starts to race and/or skips beats, do you feel light-headed? : YesHave you had any of these diagnostic tests? (Please check all boxes that apply) :- EKG or ECG- EchocardiogramAre you taking any medications to control your rhythm? YesDo you have a Pacemaker or defibrillator (ICD)? No

I am concerned that your symptoms of fatigue and lightheadedness/dizziness suggest these palpitations are not benign. If these palpitations are new, the first thing that should be excluded is heart disease. If your symptoms are a result of your palpitations, it means your brain doesn’t get enough blood when they happen, hence dizziness. However, if you are still in menopause, some of this can be explained by that condition alone! Nonetheless, I believe you should ask your doctor for a Holter monitor and stress test in addition to the tests you already had.

Hope this helps,
Dr T
