Question:
I get pains like “bruising” mostly on my right-side chest and inside my throat and slightly elevated heart rate. I don’t know if it’s angina but it worries me. also sometimes I get elevated heart rate after I eat. When these episodes happen I don’t have any nausea or short of breath just pain in that area. my numbers are excellent impressive as doctors put it. my diet is controlled and always has been and I walk around everywhere. I had a negative stress test 5 yrs. ago and echo 2 yrs. ago all well. I must admit that it usually happens if I’ve had breakfast and then walk to work. during my walks I otherwise feel great. could it be esophagitis?  No family history of heart disease.

You can take an antacid and see if it goes away, as it probably temporarily would with esophagitis! Otherwise, I have no way to tell what is going on w/o an examination and some tests. From what you tell me, you live a healthy live style and it is thus unlikely you would have developed heart disease since your previous heart tests. Therefore, you need to go see your doctor!
