Question:
Follow up:
I guess, as a dentist, with a medical background, I don’t know why my doctors don’t answer me when I ask about my long term prognosis. If I feel fine, can exercise, and am keeping INR between 2-3, can I hope for a relatively normal and long life? This of course has impacted on my family as well.Until a year ago, my mild heart attack, I stayed out of hospitals (never passed out or had pain, very dizzy and queasy, and required ambulance)…”10% loss of cardiac function”. Thank you!

Your prognosis should be excellent! You might want to talk to your doctors about a new drug (Dabigatran) for anti-coagulation that might make your life a lot simpler:

With continued recovery your atrium might also become smaller and the A-fib easier to convert back to normal rhythm.
Hope this helps,
