Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia (ARVD) follow up

Question:
Re: Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia (ARVD), I only know of my father and grandfather. My grandfather is still alive and healthy, and he’s into his 80’s. Don’t know beyond that, but I’m pretty sure we don’t have any lethal attacks in my family. Regarding genetic testing, I read it’s really inconclusive. At my last cardiology work-up in 2008, they were still developing it. I also read it’s inconclusive and tough to read results. Has that changed?

I’d suggest you research this link:
http://www.arvd.com/genetics_of_arvd.html and contact one of the genetic counselors for more information.
Hope this helps,
Dr T
