Recurrent Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome

I was diagnosed with WPW when I was 13 and shortly after diagnosis I had a radio ablation and was considered cured. I recently have been dealing with some anxiety and have tried exercise. I become very short of breath and my heart has been reaching the 190s which is not as severe as before. I am exhausted all the time. I have been dealing with headaches and just a feeling of being run down. Do I need to find a new cardiologist?

Yes! You need to be checked out and have an EKG & blood work, including cardiac echo and perhaps another EP study and ablation. Your new fast arrhythmia and symptoms are suggestive of another supraventricular tachycardia, of which WPW is one manifestation.

Hope this helps,

Dr T
