Question:
Hi I am a 43 y/o female. I have had PVCs over the past 4-6 years two weeks ago they became frequent actually about 1000 on a halter monitor with a short run of SVT and I had several PACs. ECG normal, echo normal, I can exercise with no SOB, chest pain, dizziness etc. AM I healthy, will I be ok, i HAVE A WONDERFUL FAMILY AND THE ANIEXTY FROM THIS IS CAUSING ME NUMEROUS SLEEPLESS NIGHTS. I have been started on propanolol 20mg BID and it has helped considerbly! Thanks

It sounds like you have had all the tests needed to make sure your heart is otherwise OK, assuming your blood tests (including thyroid) were also normal. Under those circumstances your treatment should help!

To make sure check these links:

You’ll find these are rather common complaints and most people don’t need treatment, only reassurance once their heart proves OK. Read these, get your tests done and come back if you still have questions for me,

Hope this helps,

Hi Lee,

Anybody who has just gone through what you have, is going to be worried about “flutters”. If they wre dangerous your defibrillatior would have been activated and fired. Since it hasn’t, you are safe, but I would recommend nonetheless you call your doctor and have your device checked – it will show the rhythms that have recently been recorded.

Hope this helps,
