Sudden fast heart rate

Hi Dr T, I'm a 30 year old mom.  I'm on spironolactone for PCOS, usually my blood pressure is normal, jumps into prehyper once in a while, but consistently normal.  I stress a lot and ahev anxiety at times due to thinking too much.  I usually go to bed a 1, after going to the gym.  Lately, that's been moved back to where I've been getting to bed at 2 am, waking up at 9:30.  Lately, right before I get into bed, my heart feels like it's beating fast, doesn't go above 100 but I feel it, it draws attention to me.  Today I woke up and went to the bathroom and felt again that heartbeat going through my whole body, like it was on a loudspeaker, I measured it, it was 75, which I know isn't above normal, but it is a bit above normal for me, since I usually range in 57-65.  I do have borderline cholesterol and have had for years.  Do you think this is due to being tired, stressed or do I need to see a doc for it?  No other symptoms except that it makes me uneasy to feel that!  I thought maybe some reassurance would calm me down.

I don't make diagnoses over the internet. You need to see a doctor to confirm/exclude whether you have heart rhythm problems, vs. anxiety.
You can read more about abnormal heart rhythms here:
You’ll find these are rather common complaints and most people don’t need treatment, only reassurance once their heart proves OK.
A common cause of palpitations includes coronary artery disease:
You can calculate your risk here:
Hope this helps,
Dr T
