Risk of developing coronary artery disease

I have a calcium score of 10 could this cause angina or a heart attack?

Here is your Ca-score:

1-10 Minimal evidence of CAD

A low score has little meaning and I don't recoomend using this test as there are better alternatives.

Your risk for developing atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries or blockages) includes health factors that indicate your chance of having a cardiovascular event such as heart attack or stroke:

However, even this low Ca score means you may have some evidence of early atherosclerosis a high cholesterol. If so, you'll have a higher risk of coronary artery disease that my cause angina and a heart attack. You can calculate this here.

At your age you should look at what it takes to live a heart-healthy life style.

Hope this helps,

Dr T
