Recovery PVCs

I am 39.  I saw a cardiologist last year with ectopic beats, during the day and when recovering from a quick run or quick skip.  Had 72 hour monitor and echogram.  said showed a few benign ectopic beats.  everything normal.  I have just joined a gym and now worried as the other day when ran for a while the ectopic beats came back for a minute during recovery.  I have read about pvc's can be serious after exercise.  Should I have more tests or has everything been ruled out, I didn't have a stress test.  Many Thanks

The only patients at risk with 'recovery PVCs' are older (60+) with pre-existing coronary artery disease. That is not your situation, thus you are safe. You can calculate your cardiac risks here.

Hope this helps,

Dr T
